Our Mission


The Vision Rehabilitation and Technology Expo Association (VRATE) is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization working across a diverse group of community partners to increase educational, employment outcomes and the quality of life for Arizonians who are blind, low vision or DeafBlind. The Association is responsible for planning and executing the annual Vision Rehabilitation and Technology Expo (VRATE)
The annual conference creates a positive environment for individuals of all ages and abilities to participate in educational tracts developed to meet the needs of the community including children, young adults, adults, and seniors. Exhibitors showcase products that increase inclusion at home, in school and work.

VRATE is dedicated to providing full and equal participation for all attendees, the 2023 VRATE Expo  will have American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting and Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) services for all sessions, sponsors and speakers.  To request accommodations, please indicate type of service required when submitting the online registration form.
